Press Release
May 9, 2017

The Polywogs present 6 local charities with checks totaling $111,000.

President Mark Chmielewski awarded the checks to the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, The Children's Dream Fund, The First Tee of St. Petersburg, R’Club Child Care, and Ready for Life at a friendly get together at Freedom Bank in St. Petersburg. Each charity received a check of $18,500.

The recipients noted that the first check received from the Polywogs years ago was $2500, a tribute to how the members and leaders of the organization have grown their influence in the community. Tradition, fellowship and locally focused community service are the hallmarks of the Polywogs, a Pinellas County based 501(c) 3 civic organization, now in their 64th year.
