Premier FALL TRIP 2024
The Polywogs couples trip this year features TWO fabulous DESTINATIONS: Louisville, KY, WITH ITS’ MANY ATTRACTIONS plus the famous Bourbon Trail (Sept 18-20). This will be followed by a world –class Golf, Casino, and Resort experience at the famed FRENCHLICK Resort (Sept. 20-22).

Louisville Experience
Louisville, well known as the home of fine bourbons, also features several MAJOR ATTRACTIONS worthy of a visit including: the Muhammad Ali Museum, Church Hill Downs Facility Tour, Louisville Slugger Museum, Frazier Bourbon (Brown Forman) Museum, all available on your arrival day, Wednesday, Sept. 18 th during your FREE afternoon or visit a few local Main Street bourbon distilleries like Angels Envy, Peerless, the Evan William experience, Old Forrester and others.
A complimentary airport shuttle service is provided by the Hilton Sealbach hotel for your convenience. More details to follow.
That first evening, we will meet up in the iconic Oak Bar for cocktails and hors deourves hosted by the Polywogs. Rooms are reserved at the historic HILTON SEALBACH HOTEL, our host hotel for 2 nights, Sept. 18 and 19. The Oak Bar was the setting for F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Great Gatsby novel.
Day two begins with breakfast and an organized BOURBON TRAIL motor coach Tour of three well- known Distilleries. We will stop for lunch mid-day (on own).
That night dinner will be arranged at a highly recommended Louisville restaurant, either Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse or Vencenzio’s Italian Restaurant.
Frenchlick Experience
On day three, we will be traveling by motor coach to Frenchlick, Indiana, home to basketball great, Larry Bird and the equally famous Frenchlick Resort.
Should you wish to rent a car on your own for the weekend, feel free to do so, however, let us know you have so we don’t hold a seat on the motor coach to and from the resort.
We have reserved accommodations for two nights plus golf on the Pete Dye and Donald Ross courses. This historical and luxurious Resort features a casino, several restaurants, the two famous golf courses, spa, shopping and more!
Those individuals, who were lucky enough to have experienced the property in the past, have raved about the award winning golf, culinary cuisine, casino, spa and more.
Upon arrival, group golf tees off at 11:48am for 16 players on the Pete Dye course with caddies. The afternoon is free for non golfing spouses. Appointment should be made in advance for the Spa.
Our first night at the Frenchlick Resort is on your own with friends for dinner and entertainment. NOTE: We will look into holding smaller group reservations at the resort closer to the arrival date.
Day two golf will be on the Donald Ross course at 9:15am for 16 players. No caddy required on this course. Spouses / guests may spa, shop, or relax poolside for the day.
Night two features a sumptuous group dinner and bar hosted by the Polywogs.
On Sunday, we will leave early (around 7am for 11 am flight) by motor coach back to the Louisville airport for return flights to Tampa/ St. Pete.
Southwest Airlines is one of several airlines serving Louisville, Kentucky with direct flights.
Indicate your preferences for each venue. Spouses may also sign up for GOLF at Frenchlick based upon availability.
PLEASE NOTE: there is LIMITED SPACE for Rooms, BOURBON tour, and Golf tee times. Based upon a prior survey to you, we are holding 16 rooms and 16 daily tee times at the Frenchlick Resort. If demand warrants, we will try to expand both accommodations and tee times accordingly. So sign up ASAP to insure your spot; spouses and significant others are welcome to participate.
